Anne Young
Audax long distance rider and female point award winner
Since a hilly paper round as a teenager, Anne’s rides got longer and longer until her first 200km Audax in 1996. She went on to complete Paris-Brest-Paris and to win the Audax female point award from 2017-2019, while working full time as a GP. Anne was involved in a serious accident in 2020, unable to ride for months after, but got back up to 600km rides within a year.
“Cycling is a fantastic way to see the world, help the environment, keep fit and provide lifelong friendships. It is one of the best things you can do to feel better about yourself regardless of age or ability.”
