Young cyclist defying visual impairment to achieve her dreams
Anastasia, a nine-year-old with a severe visual impairment, refuses to let her disability define her. Determined to ride her own bike, she joined Bikeability at her primary school.
With 1:1 coaching and endless determination, Anastasia quickly advanced to Level 1, where she often left her guide rider racing to keep up. She didn’t stop there – she completed Level 2 on quiet roads and cycle paths, achieving remarkable independence.
Anastasia credits her coach, Charlie, and her local community, including Bracknell’s Trek shop team, for helping her thrive. She now dreams of becoming a cycling champion.
