Bee Gregorie
Bee’s cycling journey began as a child, using her bike as transport. In 2000, after taking up triathlon, she joined a club dominated by younger men, which left her longing for a group of women to cycle with.
Unable to run due to injury, she decided to act. An email to her contacts led to eight women joining her for a trail ride. Just two months later, Kent Velo Girls (KVG) was born. Sixteen years on, KVG has almost 200 members, offering daily rides for different speeds and abilities.
The club provides a safe, encouraging environment for women to cycle, focusing on fitness, camaraderie, and adventure over competition.
Members participate in events worldwide and regularly explore European destinations like Mallorca. Bee’s leadership and vision have created a vibrant and inclusive community where women inspire and support each other, sharing their passion for cycling through life’s ups and downs.
“The fitness, the new bikes, the friends, and the adventures made all the hard work of starting a club so worthwhile.”
