Cheshire Roads Club
The Cheshire Roads Club is a cycling club based around the Stockport area of N.E. Cheshire.
‘Chesh’ members are actively involved in Track Racing, Time Trialling, Touring and Sunday Club Runs.
We occasionally organise ‘weekends away’ and ‘car assisted runs’ to explore further afield.
Our regular magazine ‘The News’ keeps members up to date.
We are affiliated to the CTT, CyclingUK, M&DLCA, M&DTTA, and the NRRA.
Information about the group rides
Club Runs are held every Sunday.
The meeting place for runs generally alternates between the Unicorn Inn at Dean Row near Wilmslow, and the Rising Sun Hotel at Hazel Grove. The meeting time is 9:30 am.
Generally ( although not always) runs from the Unicorn are into Cheshire whilst those from the Rising Sun are generally into the hills of the Peak District.
Runs vary in length from about 40 miles to 90 miles and always include at least one cafe or pub stop . The runs are not ‘chain gangs’ and the pace is set by the slowest rider. Although we don’t organise many mountain bike runs we are not averse to a bit of ‘rough stuff’.
